The cost of a home inspection for a single family home varies due to the geographical location, as well as its size and age. The cost can also vary when additional inspection services are requested, such as swimming pool, spa/hot tub, or detached buildings. However, you should not let cost be a factor in determining whether or not to have a home inspection performed or in choosing your home inspector. Understanding a Home Inspection is
designed as a guide for consumers as well as home inspectors. Use of the guide
should promote a better understanding of inspected systems and components while
creating a consistency of inspection quality. It is not designed to teach
inspection techniques, however, it can be useful in leading anyone through the
